Share your experiences of private dental services: for dental professionals
Overview
The Competition and Markets Authority has launched a market study into the UK’s private dentistry market.
We are looking at:
- how private dentistry works
- how well it works for consumers
- whether it could work better
We are focusing on the supply of private dentistry. By private dental services, we mean any dental care or treatment a consumer purchases for themselves or their family privately in the UK – whether delivered by a dentist or another dental professional (for example a hygienist).
Private dental services do not include any treatment provided on the National Health Service (NHS) (or Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland).
We want to hear from you
Thank you for taking part. This should take no more than 10 minutes and you don’t need to complete every question.
We want to hear dental professionals’ experiences of private dental services. In particular, about:
- the private dental services you provide
- any challenges you individually, or the private dentistry sector as a whole, are facing
- your views on how consumers make choices about treatments
There’s a short set of questions, some multiple choice, others asking for your views in your own words.
